Rosehip & Ginseng Face Cream Recipe

A scale works best for making creams and lotions, so that every batch is consistent and without surprises, but I realize not everyone owns one, so developed this recipe so it can be measured in teaspoons and tablespoons as well.

• 7 g (1/2 tbsp) jojoba oil (infused or plain) Change to Sweet Almond Oil
• 7 g (1/2 tbsp) shea (or mango or avocado) butter
• 12 g (1 tbsp) rosehip seed oil
• 9 g (4 tsp) vegetable emulsifying wax
• 75 g (5 tbsp) distilled water
• tiny pinch of alkanet root (optional, for pink color) No
• 1/2 tsp (1 g) ginseng extract No
• few drops essential oil (see step 3) Rose Geranium
• nature-derived preservative (see step 4)

Yield: Fills three 0.85 oz (25 ml) amber glass jars.

冰河泥皂 Canadian Glacial Clay Soap Bar

This soap is based on Marseille inspire soap recipe, which is quite tender for skin. Add 5% of Canadian glacial clay to increase its cleaning power, yet to try this clay for the very first time.

1. 2.5g sodium lactate
2. 17.5g Canadian glacial clay
3. Lavender essential oil

竹炭皂 Activated Charcoal Soap

1. 2g sodium lactate added in lye water
2. Black crystal sea salt flakes sprinkled on top
3. Finish with alcohol spray, covered, check periodically on the soap to prevent over heat and cracks
4. The activated charcoal liquid I bought stated 10-20% usage. I used 20% + 1/2t charcoal powder
5. Mix lye water and oil at around 40 degrees C

甜杏仁皂 Sweet Almond Soap

1. 2g Sodium lactate
2. 95% alcohol spray at finish, covered.
3. 0.5% beeswax at light trace
4. Lavender essential oil
5. Decorated with soap curls

左手香皂 Patchouli Soap

1. 3g Sodium Lactate
2. 1t patchouli powder
3. Distilled water was replaced by patchouli leaf juice.

橄欖甜杏仁溫和皂 Olive and Sweet Almond Oil Soap

1. 2.5g Sodium lactate
2. Lipstick tree (red)
3. Light trace.

• This time caused more soda ash than before. Temperature may be one reason, light trace could be the other.

Ingredients for Elderflower Salve

• 3 oz (85 g) elderflower infused oil
• 0.5 oz (14 g) rosehip seed oil
• 0.5 oz (14 g) beeswax

1. 1% Sodium Lactate to make this soap harder.

左手香皂 Patchouli Soap

1. Pencil line: Patchouli powder 撒上左手香粉來呈現線條。
2. Patchouli leaves + some distill water, using vitamix to make patchouli juice, slightly cook the juice to boil, then sift till no residue. Freeze or set the sifted juice aside to cool. It will be used to combine with NaOH. 左手香葉加入一些蒸餾水打成汁，稍微煮過，過濾至沒有雜質，作為溶鹼的液體。

1. 1% sodium lactate
2. Peppermint essential oil

甜杏仁可可皂 Sweet Almond Oil and Cocoa Butter

以茉莉花浸泡甜杏仁油為主，加上可可脂和椰子油，做出來的皂色非常純白討喜。這次想加入一些粉紅礦泥粉添增些浪漫的感覺。

With jasmine infused sweet almond oil, cocoa butter and coconut oil, the finished soap has a beautiful white color. I'd like to add some romantic touch in this soap with French pink clay.

The soap batter had been over traced.

The swirl is not as pretty as what I expected.
