Sweet Almond Oil Soap 甜杏仁可可皂

Since my last sweet almond oil soap has some cracks at the edges, I think I can try another batch to make it right. I added some green and yellow clays in the soap batter, and used clothes hanger to make some swirl pattern. This time, the sweet almond oil is just sweet almond oil, nothing infused.

1% sodium lactate
95% alcohol spray to prevent soda ash
Lavender essential oil

甜杏仁可可皂 Jasmine Infused Sweet Almond Oil Soap

Since my last marseille inspired soap was so charming, I decided to make another batch with sweet almond oil. I have a jar of jasmine infused sweet almond oil for over a month, which I used, and along with cocoa butter and coconut oil. I am quite surprised with the pure white color at the end. Really love it!

I was too eager to unmold the soap,
which made it has some cracks at the edge.

1% sodium lactate
95% alcohol spray
Jasmine essential oil

72% 橄欖皂 Marseille Inspired Soap

This high quality organic olive oil was imported from Italy by a friend. I bought half dozen and has tried cooking with it. It has a very fresh smell of olive, which I quite like it. I am thinking of what would make the difference if I use this olive oil and the coconut oil that I am using for cooking as well, also combined with some cocoa butter. The result is quite satisfying!

The jelly effect looks gorgeous!

CP 100% Olive Oil Soap 純橄欖油皂

The HP 100% olive oil soap I made yesterday was quite nice. I like the pure soap batter, which makes me want to do another batch by using cold process.

1% Sodium Lactate
Black sea salt flakes (for fun)
Pepper mint essential oil

HP 100% Olive Oil Soap 純橄欖油皂

Using slow cooker to make this 100% olive oil soap.

3% Sodium Lactate
Cook at low for nearly one hour. Check and stir every 10 mins

燕麥乳霜 DIY Eczema Cream

I like 【Ｔhe Nerdy Farm Wife】 very much, always expecting her next post. The most important thing is the information Jan wrote is always very helpful. I've tried many of the recipes in her blog and they all turn out great!

Today, I remade this DIY Eczema Cream with my fine ground oatmeal. I used Vitamix to grind oatmeal till very fine, and sifted the oatmeal powder twice. I don't want my cream to be grainy. Then just follow Jan's post and it's done!

萬壽菊燕麥皂 Marigold and Oatmeal Soap

Last Sunday, my mom gave me some dried marigold. It has a special sweet scent and is commonly used to make tea. I infused half of it in olive oil, and keep half in jar for tea.

I made some marigold tea with distill water and freeze it for making soaps. The ice cubes of marigold tea and some more distill water along with NaOH were mixed as lye water. The purpose of freezing the tea is just to keep the lye water in a lower temperature.

I have some Chamomile infused oils, one is apricot kernel oil and the other is extra virgin olive oil. I used both of them. Though oatmeal is often seen in the recipe of Honey and Oatmeal Soap, I still decided to add my fine ground oatmeal in this soap, since oatmeal is good for eczema and sensitive skin. This soap is designed for my sister, who has sensitive skin and is going through some medical treatment.

竹炭皂 Activated Charcoal Soap

This recipe is base on 72% olive oil, and added activated charcoal. Since my new bottle of activated charcoal oil is not exactly black, I added a little bit of charcoal powder.
